Interview with Daniela Cremer | Head of Transaction Analysis and Support
When did you join credX?
I joined credX in May 2022. After many years in treasury, I was eager to shift my focus back to commercial real estate finance and be able to work on a wide range of topics.
What did you do before?
I was at a mortgage bank in Cologne for 10 years, where I mainly handled commercial real estate financing – from application to repayment. After that, I spent many years in the treasury department of METRO Group as a specialist for real estate and lease financing and was in charge of the group cash pool and currency management. From 2015 to April 2022, I set up and managed the treasury departments at GALERIA Kaufhof and real.
How did you hear about credX?
Through an advertisement on XING.
Why did you decide to join credX?
Commercial real estate financing is very complex and often a lengthy process to disbursement; that hasn’t changed in the last 20 years. The credX platform has created a medium to make this process much more efficient and to enable a tailored approach to suitable financing partners. This concept convinced me; and the diverse range of tasks.
What does a typical working day look like?
The specialist team takes care of preparing the financing requests. This means carefully checking all the documents submitted, from the extract from the land register to the lease agreement and the company-specific documents, and on this basis preparing our info memo – similar to a bank’s loan submission. Here, many topics come together: legal, construction law, economic and bank-specific issues. In addition, we are available for our customers as a contact partner for all content-related and technical questions and provide support for specialist questions from the banks.
What is important to you? What motivates you?
I have always enjoyed working independently and learning about new topics. In a smaller team like credX, there is much more direct exchange of ideas and you have the opportunity to think outside the box. I find that exciting and it also gives you the opportunity to develop within the team.
Dear Daniela, thank you for the interview!
