Artificial intelligence in credit assessment – predictive power or black box?

Notice

On September 3, 2025, the event “Future Real Estate – Real Estate Financing Reloaded!” will take place in Frankfurt am Main. In the afternoon, a panel discussion promises to shed light on an important topic in its various facets:

4:00 p.m. | DISCUSSION: AI in credit assessment – predictive power or black box?

Dr. Ralf Kauther, CEO, credX AG
Ingo Glaeser, Head of Commercial Real Estate Customers Germany, Münchener Hypothekenbank eG).
MODERATOR: Ulrich Schüppler, Editor, IZ Immobilien Zeitung Verlagsgesellschaft mbH

On the one hand, Ingo Glaeser brings the perspective of an experienced real estate banker who relies on decades of market knowledge and established customer relationships – but is also open to new technologies without losing sight of the human factor.

On the other hand, Dr. Ralf Kauther draws on his experience as Chief Risk Officer at Postbank, member of the Executive Board of data service provider vwd group, and co-founder of credit platform credX to conclude that new generative AI technologies not only make proven review processes more efficient and much faster, but can also contribute previously untapped data, thereby making credit decisions more accurate.

Are these technologies (already) suitable for supplementing or even replacing human expertise and judgment? The discussion will certainly contribute to addressing this question in a differentiated and well-founded manner.

Further information on the event can be found on the Heuer Dialog website.
