Interview with Daniela Cremer
Head of Transaction Analysis and Support

How long have you been with credX?

I joined credX in May 2022. After many years in treasury, I wanted to refocus more strongly on commercial real estate financing and be able to work on a wide range of topics.

What did you do before?

For 10 years, I worked at a mortgage bank in Cologne, primarily managing commercial real estate financing – from application to repayment. After that, I spent many years in the treasury department of the METRO Group as a specialist for real estate and leasing financing, where I managed the group’s cash pool and currency management. From 2015 to April 2022, I built up and led the treasury departments at GALERIA Kaufhof and real.

How did you become aware of credX?

Through a job posting on XING.

Why did you choose credX?

Commercial real estate financing is very complex and often a lengthy process until disbursement; this has not changed in the last 20 years. The credX platform has created a medium to make this process significantly more efficient and to enable a precise approach to suitable financing partners. This concept convinced me, as did the diverse range of tasks.

What does a typical workday look like?

The specialist team handles the preparation of financing inquiries. This involves the careful review of all submitted documents, from land register extracts to lease agreements and company-specific documents, and based on this, the creation of our info memo – similar to a bank’s credit proposal. Many topics converge here: legal, building law, economic, and bank-specific issues. Furthermore, we serve as a point of contact for our clients for all content-related and technical questions and provide support with bank-specific inquiries.

What is important to you? What motivates you?

I have always enjoyed working independently and exploring new areas. In a smaller team like credX, there is much more direct exchange of ideas, and one has the opportunity to think outside the box. I find that exciting, and it also provides the opportunity for professional development within the team.

Thank you very much for the interview, Daniela!
