Interview with Marcel Peter | IT Student Employee
How long have you been with credX?
I have been with credX since April 2022. I recently completed my bachelor’s thesis and was looking for a role for my master’s degree where I could apply and further develop my IT skills.
What are you studying, and have you already gained professional experience? If so, what kind?
I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Information Science. Previously, during an internship, I contributed to the further development of an Arduino (microcontroller) course. However, I focused on IT during my school years, as I have always been very interested in computers, and have therefore been involved with IT topics daily since middle school.
How did you become aware of credX?
I learned about credX through Indeed.
Why did you choose credX?
I chose credX because I was immediately impressed by the flat hierarchies, the friendly colleagues, and the option to work from home. Furthermore, I already have experience with HTML and enjoy developing websites, which is why my first project – the restructuring of the credX website – particularly appealed to me.
What does a typical workday look like?
In my daily work, I primarily focus on programming and optimizing the deal pipeline. This involves fixing errors, for instance in HTML and the database, and I am always in close communication with my colleagues.
What is important to you?
It is important to me that my work contributes to the efficient and user-friendly application of the credX platform. I constantly encounter challenges, which has allowed me to learn a great deal since joining credX. This has also significantly contributed to my personal development. Furthermore, the option to work from home and to flexibly manage my working hours is a crucial factor for me, as it would otherwise be physically impossible to balance university and work.
